TENSNAKE’S “GLOW”

Posted in MUSIC on March 20, 2014 by Keyvon

German DJ/Producer Tensnake has just released his debut album Glow. It’s crazy to think this is Tensnake’s debut album. Seems like he’s been in the game, making disco inspired house tracks, for a while now. The first track off the album is “Good Enough to Keep” featuring Niles Rodgers and Fiora. Disco legend Niles of Chic fame has been popping up all over the place in the dance scene lately, working with the robots, Disclosure and HARD. You can definitely hear him slapping his funky ass bass halfway through the track, and Fiora’s voice is a sexy accompaniment to the song.

IGGY AZALEA IS CLUELESS

I have praised Rap Goddess Iggy Azalea for a couple years now, even jumping to calling her possibly the greatest female rapper of all-time. Though that argument is up for discussion, what is not up for discussion is Iggy’s undeniable sex appeal and her amazing ass. Though the latter is not fully on display in this video (like in most of the artist’s other videos), she actually might have delivered her best video to date: A spot-on spoof of the 1995 classic Clueless. Iggy plays Alicia Silverstone’s iconic Cher, and the scene’s are shot on the same location as the film, using identical scenes and what seems to be even the same house as the Valley house party! It is truly an amazing video. Gonna be hard to top this one in 2014.

PR0FILES

New LA duo Pr0files released this outstanding track “Call Yourself a Lover” a few months ago and had the privilege of being featured in LA Weekly’s Top 10 Female bands in LA. They were definitely my favorite from the list, so I thought I’d give them some shine. It feels dark and retro, like Glass Candy covering Heart, but fits in nicely next to new bands like Rhye and Phantogram. The duo, Danny and Lauren, should be having some shows around LA later this month, so keep your eyes open. Their sound is too nice to deny.
