BABY IM FADED

I was listening to Hype Machine’s Top 50 on the way back from Coachella on 4/20 and #1 was this track by unknown producer (to me) ZHU. The lyrics are minimal and simple. “Baby I’m Faded. All I Wanna do is drive home to You.”  A lot of electronic music, especially mainstream songs put to much emphasis on verses and lyrics and they’re usually very cheesy. It’s all about the groove and the beat. All we need is a chorus to sing along to. And what a great job Zhu does here. So grab a blunt and let Zhu take you home.

    Agreed. Groove and melody are what make music MUSIC. If you can’t sing along, it doesn’t MATTER what the message is.
