MVM – Ye-Ye “EUROSTAR”

There’s not a lot I can say about this video, for the simple fact that I don’t know much about the band. I first saw this video at the now defunct music video festival ResFest in 2003. I tried to look up some more information on the band but all I could find was a short review on Amazon, they don’t even have a Myspace or Wiki page. However the reviewer sites connections to Tahiti 80, so I’m guessing that Ye-Ye is from France. (also because ye-ye is a French style of pop music made popular by Serge Gainsbourg: wiki). I do have their sole full-length album Two Brains for Feet thanks to a fellow music nerd, who gave this to me back when it dropped in ’04. What can I say about the video though is that it’s fucking amazing. It’s clever, well edited, and the song is an exceptional one. I’m not sure what happened to the members of this band, but thank you for delivering us at least one great song and video.
