AUDIBLE DOCTOR “ASTRO”

 

From the opening seconds of his new track “Astro” you can tell that Audible Doctor was heavily influenced by J Dilla. The broken soul sample with the heavy bassline is all too familiar. But hey, Dilla was a disciple of Q-Tip, who was a disciple of a number of 80’s Hip-Hop DJ’s. And it’s better to try and replicate someone as great as Dilla, than Swizz Beats for example. This type of instrumental, electronica-inspired Hip Hop is not the easiest to find, so when I caught wind of this guy, I was immediately smitten. Not all his tracks are instrumentals. He has produced songs for rappers like Consequence and has a whole album of Outkast Remixes, and all this is available to download for FREE on his website.
